Next Generation PLM Solutions

Siemens PLM Connection Europes User Conference 2011
Booth #38
Oct 17-19, 2011
Linz, Austria

Growing digitalization and globalization of product development, production and distribution processes are leading to more complex and challenging needs in manufacturing. One technology enabler that organizations have been explicitly leveraging to handle and manage these complex challenges is PLM. While the efficiency of existing PLM application is not really in question, the demand for the PLM systems to support more processes and even extend beyond the organization to support processes like supplier collaboration is rising. With more than two decades of significant contribution in PLM, CAD and related interoperability technologies, Geometric constantly works to create innovative solutions and processes, helping companies draw more value from their existing PLM investment. With this aim, our latest offering is a solution for Integrated Process Planning (IPP), which helps companies achieve PLM excellence by bringing cross functional processes on the PLM backbone. Geometric enables customers to integrate their product data across the complete value chain, with effective collaboration across multiple sites, suppliers and vendors.

Geometric will be showcasing this solution and its key global services for Siemens PLM users at booth number # 38, Siemens PLM Connection Europes User Conference 2011, in Linz, Austria from Oct 17-19, 2011.

Global Services for Teamcenter Adoption:
Contemporary complex engineering and manufacturing environments need a comprehensive PLM implementation and migration strategy, along with close user support, to achieve the targeted ROI. Geometric, with its extensive experience in PLM and close working relationship with Siemens PLM, is the ideal partner to cater to the customer need for adoption of Teamcenter Unified. We leverage our best practices, proven implementation and migration tools and methodology to deliver value to our customers through significant reduction in the time required for implementation and error free migration of data to the targeted Teamcenter platform. Our goal is to help build competitive differentiation for our customers by having the customer up and running as quickly as possible, so as to derive the maximum benefit from the new and powerful Teamcenter application. Our implementation and migration services are complimented by our solutions for customization, integration, site consolidation, and interoperability on the Teamcenter platform.

In line with our incessant efforts to further contribute to the PLM arena, Geometric is now a proud member of ProSTEP iViP association. With more than two decades of significant contribution in PLM, CAD and related interoperability technologies delivered to organizations across industries, Geometric appreciates the vision of ProSTEP iViP and will be an active contributor through various forums.

The ProSTEP iViP Association is an international community comprising of leading companies in the automotive and aerospace industries, system vendors and research institutes. It is a global consortium instrumental in advancing open standards. The aim of the ProSTEP iViP Association is to find solutions for the challenges facing the manufacturing industry as a result of networked collaboration in a worldwide development network. A concept based on a coherent, cross-organizational and cross-domain view of data, processes and systems provides a solid foundation for meeting these challenges. This approach is reflected in the Association's five main areas of focus: process management, system integration, product data standardization, engineering collaboration and knowledge transfer.

Geometric is looking forward to making a significant contribution to standards like JT and STEP, leveraging its expertise and competencies in the domain. Our strong alliances with PLM leaders such as Dassault Systèmes, Siemens PLM Software, and others, and customer relationships with the leaders in the respective industries, who are also active member of ProSTEP iViP, enables Geometric to be very well positioned to contribute towards these open standards in the PLM domain.
