Manu M. Parpia

Manu Parpia is the Managing Director & CEO of Geometric Ltd., and Chairman of 3DPLM Software Solutions Ltd. He has over 30 years of experience in the industry, with over 21 years in the PLM and Engineering arena. He is one of the pioneers in this arena in India.
He served as the Chief Executive of the Electronic Business Equipment Division of Godrej & Boyce from the mid eighties to 1999. During this period, he also founded Godrej Pacific, a joint venture between Tech Pacific and Godrej & Boyce, and served as its Managing Director from 1995 to 1999. In his activities with Godrej, he oversaw the design, development, manufacture and distribution of a variety of high-tech products. He served as the Managing Director of Geometric from 1994 to 2006, and took over this mantle again in April 2011.
Mr. Parpia started his career as an engineer with Humphreys & Glasgow Consultants Pvt. Ltd. (H&G). Inspired and mentored by Naval Godrej and Vasant Seth, he later founded K. Wadia Exports Pvt. Ltd., a company manufacturing cast gold jewellery for export, and First Financial Compuserve Pvt. Ltd. which promoted the use of computers in the area of finance. He was the President of Manufacturers' Association for Information Technology (MAIT) in 1997-98.
Mr. Parpia holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from McGill University, Canada; an MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration, USA; and a Diploma in Finance & Accounting from England. His areas of specialization include international marketing and business development, business strategy and commercialization of technology.

Arvind Kakar

Arvind Kakar joined Geometric as the Chief Financial Officer and Global Head, Finance & Accounts, in October 2011. He is responsible for the company's worldwide financial planning and analysis, including accounting, treasury, and budgetary functions. Support functions like legal, and administration also come under his purview.
Prior to joining Geometric, Mr. Kakar was the CFO at Max Healthcare Institute Limited. He has over 21 years of experience in the finance industry across multiple verticals like healthcare, financial services, and manufacturing industry. Mr. Kakar has been instrumental in driving a number of initiatives in strategic planning and analysis, cost control initiatives, capital and revenue budgeting, working capital management, as well as investor relations. He started his career in Hero Honda Motors Limited, and has also worked with Tata Finance Limited and Max India Limited in his career.
Mr. Arvind Kakar is a Chartered Accountant and holds a bachelor's degree in commerce from Delhi University.

Shashank Patkar

Shashank Patkar is the Chief Transformation Officer at Geometric and is responsible for driving process and organizations change to meet the company's long term goals. Before taking on this mantle, Shashank served as the CEO of 3D PLM Software Solutions Ltd. - Geometric's joint venture with Dassault Systèmes (DS Group-42%, Geometric-58%) from October 2007 to December 2011. He has been a part of Geometric for over 25 years and has handled several key responsibilities in this period, including that of the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Office and Business Unit Head.
Shashank began his career at Geometric (the EBE Division of Godrej & Boyce) in 1986, as part of its first sales team. His initial responsibilities included Sales and Marketing of Geometric's products and services in the global market place. From 1994 to 2000, he headed Operations and was responsible for setting and shaping the company's development center in Pune. In 2001, Shashank moved to USA as CEO of Geometric, Inc. and headed the company's Geometry Business Unit. Then in July 2004, Shashank moved to the role of CFO. He helped build Geometric's brand image with the investor community and displayed a unique combination of business and financial knowledge.
Shashank is a Mechanical Engineer and holds an MBA from the S.P Jain Institute of Management & Research. He is a past President and active contributor to Software Exporter's Association of Pune and represents Geometric on various industries and government forums in Pune.

Kalidas Surapaneni

Kalidas Surapaneni is a Senior Vice President - Industrial Vertical & Geographies at Geometric. He is responsible for business development and go-to-market strategies for the Industrial & Heavy Machinery Vertical worldwide and for driving business in USA, Europe and APAC Geographies. He is also responsible for Technical Marketing globally. Having joined Geometric as a Sales Executive in 1987, he steadily rose to his current role of leading the Industrial Vertical globally as well as USA, Europe and APAC regions. Prior to this role, he headed Strategic Accounts globally, as well as the Sales teams in Japan, APAC and India. He was responsible for promoting cross-selling across business verticals, while strengthening key customer relationships. Kalidas has been instrumental in building a strong customer base for Geometric by identifying new market opportunities, and successfully fostering customer relationships across North America, Europe, and Asia.
Kalidas holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad. He is an active cricket player. During his free time, he enjoys listening to music, playing touch & tag football, and preparing cuisine that are not common place.

Joseph Sahiouni

Joseph Sahiouni joined Geometric as a Senior Vice President and the head of the Automotive Vertical in June 2010. He has over 25 years of experience in the industry, and is responsible for global business and its development, steering go-to-market strategies for the vertical, as well as building vertical-specific offerings.
Prior to joining Geometric, Joseph was associated with Gits Manufacturing Company for two years, and led sales, account and program management, engineering, and support groups in the development of emission products for the heavy duty diesel engines industry. He has also worked with Laird Technologies, Visteon Corporation, Ford Motor Company, and CR Industries (SKF), handling a range of activities in the consumer electronics and auto sectors from Sales, product development, R&D and CAE of RF, battery, Audio, telematics, control modules and sealing technologies and methods.
Joseph has a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Michigan, as well as an MBA from Michigan State University.

Venkatesh Jagannath

Venkatesh Jagannath is a Vice President and the head of Strategy and Innovation at Geometric; and is responsible for driving innovation, mergers and acquisitions, managing strategic partnerships and alliances, as well as marketing and communications activities of the company. He also heads the Geometry Technology Solutions business at Geometric.
Venkatesh has been part of Geometric for over 18 years, during which he has handled various roles and responsibilities. Venkatesh started his career at Godrej and Boyce in 1993, as part of the GCAM product team. For over ten years, he played a key role in Geometric's IP development and spearheaded the desktop products development. In July 2003, he moved to head the quality initiative and was responsible for Geometric's successful assessment at CMMI Level 5 in February 2004. For a short span in 2004, he was the delivery head for Geometric's software OEM customers and responsible for quality, delivery and customer satisfaction. In 2006, Venkatesh pioneered the organization productivity initiative to drive a Theory of Constraints (ToC) and Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) based program aimed at improving team productivity levels. In April 2007, he took the responsibility of Geometric's SPE business, which targets the Outsourced Product Development (OPD) markets, and later moved to a strategic business development role, responsible for building and acquiring capabilities in niche expansion areas for Geometric in 2010.
Venkatesh holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Mumbai and an M.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Venkatesh is a keen tennis player and likes to read and listen to music in his spare time.

Nitin Tappe

Nitin Tappe is a Vice President and the head of the Global Operations at Geometric. He is responsible for building and delivering solutions and services for PLM, engineering services, manufacturing IT, and outsourced product development. Nitin is also responsible for driving quality and productivity, as well as building the technical competencies in the company.
Nitin has been part of Geometric for over 15 years, during which he played various key roles in delivery, practice and sales. He joined Geometric as a software engineer in 1996, and was part of the Desktop Products & Technology group for five years. In 2001, he moved to head a delivery team in PLM services and then, a technology practice in the company. He has also been responsible for managing the relationship with one of Geometric's strategic partners globally, from Geometric's US offices. In his last role, Nitin headed the Software Services Business Unit of the company.
Nitin holds a bachelor's degree in engineering and has an M. Tech (Manufacturing) from Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai.

Ms. Rani Desai

Rani Desai joined Geometric as the Global Head and Vice President - Human Resources and Organization Development in October 2008. She is responsible for talent management, acquisition and development, and strategic organization development. Rani has over 24 years of experience in managing a wide portfolio of HR functions, including partnering and strategizing in growth of startup organizations through talent acquisition and organization development.
Prior to joining Geometric, Rani headed Human Resource function at Mahindra Engineering Services, a group company of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. involved in design solutions for the automotive industry. Besides IT, Rani has worked in other industries like pharmaceuticals, infrastructure, telecom, textiles, engineering, and shipping.
She has a Bachelor's degree in social work and holds post-graduate degree in Personnel Management from Tata Institute of Social Sciences and a Masters of Law from Bombay University. Besides, she is also a certified Executive Coach from Results Coach Systems.
Rani is a life member of an NGO, which funds education for socio-economically impacted children.

Sudarshan Mogasale

Sudarshan Mogasale took over as the CEO of 3DPLM Software Solutions Ltd. - Geometric's joint venture with Dassault Systèmes (DS Group-42%, Geometric-58%) on January 1, 2012. He has been a part of Geometric since 1996, and has handled various challenging assignments and roles such as Software Architect and Practice Head in this period.
Sudarshan has been responsible for setting up teams and process for delivery excellence in Product Development as well as Software Services engagements for Geometric's major customers. After the acquisition of MatrixOne, Inc. by Dassault Systèmes, Sudarshan moved to 3DPLM in October 2006 to head MatrixOne related Product Development activity inside 3DPLM. He played a major role in bringing MatrixOne related product development activities in India under 3DPLM and consolidating, stabilizing, and growing it under ENOVIA V6 applications inside 3DPLM. In November 2010, Dassault Systèmes and Geometric decided to integrate the DELMIA India R&D lab (DSPL) with 3DPLM; Sudarshan led and completed the challenging task of successfully integrating the entities in 2011.
Prior to joining Geometric, Sudarshan worked for a couple of years in the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) as an Engineer in Remote Sensing Satellite division.
He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mysore University.
