Ajit Joshi

Ajit Joshi is a Senior Vice President and the head of the Product Lifecycle Management Solutions (PLMS) business unit at Geometric. He is responsible for driving the company’s growth strategy in the extended PLM space. He has over 18 years of industry experience and has been part of Geometric for the past nine years. Starting his career at Geometric as a business manager, he soon took over responsibilities as general manager (projects) with a focus to develop business in Japan. In 2000, Geometric forayed into the PDM segment under Ajit's leadership. Ajit was appointed as Vice President, Software Delivery, to head the consolidated PLM service offerings in the areas of CAD, PDM and Collaboration in 2003. He took over as the Vice President, PLM Solutions Business Unit in 2006 with a charter to strengthen Geometric’s PLM footprint in the industrial customer segment. Prior to joining Geometric, Ajit worked in the areas of engineering software development, structural design and analysis, while being based out of the USA, from 1986-93. Ajit holds a B. Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai and a Masters from Auburn University, USA. He was awarded a gold medal in Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune. His areas of specialization include business management, customer relationship management and delivery management (capitalization). In his spare time, Ajit likes to listen to music and travel.

Venkatesh Jagannath

Venkatesh Jagannath is a Vice President and the head of the Software Product Engineering (SPE) business unit at Geometric. He has been part of Geometric for over 16 years, during which he handled various roles and responsibilities. Venkatesh started his career at Godrej and Boyce in 1993, as part of the GCAM product team. For over ten years, he played a key role in Geometric’s IP development and spearheaded the desktop products development. In July 2003, he moved to head the quality initiative and was responsible for Geometric’s successful assessment at CMMI Level 5 in February 2004. For a short span in 2004, he was the delivery head for Geometric’s software OEM customers and responsible for quality, delivery and customer satisfaction. In 2006, Venkatesh pioneered the organization productivity initiative to drive a Theory of Constraints (ToC) and Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) based program aimed at improving team productivity levels. Since April 2007, he has been responsible for Geometric’s SPE business which targets the Outsourced Product Development (OPD) markets. Venkatesh holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Mumbai and an M.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Venkatesh is a keen tennis player and likes to read and listen to music in his spare time.

Dr. Vinay Kulkarni
Dr. Vinay Kulkarni is a Vice President and the head of Desktop Products and Technologies (DPT) Business Unit at Geometric. He has over 19 years of experience in the field of CAD/ CAM products and technologies. Before taking on the current role, Vinay worked in various capacities at Geometric including Software Developer, Project Manager, and Product Manager, and COO of Geometric Technologies, Inc. He has also been involved in bootstrapping some of the products and technologies. Prior to Geometric, he worked as a Graduate Engineer at Larsen & Toubro and as a Research Engineer at IIT, Mumbai. Vinay has a Doctorate in Computer-aided Manufacturing from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mumbai and has a patent to his credit. He has also guided work resulting in three other patents for the company. In his leisure time Vinay enjoys trekking, reading and gadgets!

Avinash Salelkar

Avinash Salelkar is the Vice President and the head of the Engineering Services business unit at Geometric. Avinash joined Geometric in February 2008 to head the Business Consulting practice, which focuses on providing optimized solutions in areas of Product Lifecycle Management.
Prior to joining Geometric, Avinash led the Sourcing and Manufacturing Solutions practice at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). His career spans over two decades and across several functions in the automotive industry. He began his career with Tata Motors, where he worked in machine tool maintenance; automobile production planning and control; supplier and component development; corporate management and passenger car sales , service and parts. Avinash has led and executed strategy alignment and process improvement engagements in New Product Introduction, Supply Chain Management and Customer Experience Management, towards transforming organizations to become more competitive.
Avinash holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi and an MBA from the University of Pune.

Shashank Patkar

Shashank took over as the CEO of 3D PLM Software Solutions Ltd. – Geometric’s joint venture with Dassault Systèmes (DS Group-30%, Geometric-70%) in October 2007. Prior to taking over this position, Shashank was the Vice President, Corporate Strategic Initiatives. He has been a part of Geometric for the past 20 years and has handled several key responsibilities in this period, including that of the Chief Financial Officer. Shashank began his career at Geometric (the EBE Division of Godrej & Boyce) in 1986, as part of its first sales team. His initial responsibilities at Geometric included Sales and Marketing of Geometric's products and services in the global market place.From 1994 to 2000 he headed Operations and was responsible for setting and shaping the company's development center in Pune. In July 2004, Shashank moved to the role of CFO. He helped build Geometric's brand image with the investor community and displayed a unique combination of business and financial knowledge. He is also responsible for ERP implementation at Geometric. Shashank is a Mechanical Engineer and MBA from the University of Mumbai. Shashank is a past President and active contributor to Software Exporter's Association of Pune and represents Geometric on various Industries and Government forums in Pune.
