Geometric began as a part of the Godrej group, one of the oldest and largest business conglomerates of India with expertise in engineering and consumer products. Founded in 1897, the Godrej group is known for its philanthropy, besides being recognized for its values of fair, transparent and ethical dealings.
Geometric was set up as a division of Godrej and Boyce in 1984. Today it is one of the leading PLM service providers in the world. Assessed at CMMI Level 5, Geometric has over two decades of proven experience in CAx, PDM and MPM. Geometric’s strategic alliances with global PLM giants including IBM, Dassault Systèmes, Siemens PLM Software, MSC Software and PTC have further strengthened our position in the PLM space.
Being one of the pioneers of software technology in India, Geometric launched one of the first drafting software on the UNIX platform as early as 1987. The very same year saw the launch of its first solid modeling CAM and FEA software.
Geometric made an initial public offering in February 2000 and was listed on the National and Bombay Stock Exchanges. Headquartered in Mumbai (India), Geometric has 16 offices across the globe. |
