 NASSCOM*, India's premier trade body for software and services companies, conferred Geometric Limited as one of the IT Innovators for the second year in a row. Geometric received this commendation for our automated design for manufacturability tool DFMPro
DFMPro captures design for manufacturability guidelines to help designers 'get designs right the first time', thereby considerably reducing design time and iterations.
Being integrated within the CAD software used for designing, the designer can easily run DFMPro to automatically detect areas in the design that do not conform with manufacturing rules. The built-in customizable design guidelines are of tremendous help to new designers for understanding the rules to be followed, and incorporating the learning of experienced designers. The tool also helps educational institutes and industries in training designers to create designs that are viable to manufacture.
The award was accorded to Geometric for the creation of a new tool by using existing IP for addressing a critical pain area of the industry; and reducing the time for checking manufacturability of designs by 90%.
