 NASSCOM*, India's premier trade body for software and services companies, conferred Geometric Limited as one of the IT Innovators, 2007. Geometric received this commendation for our innovative wall thickness analysis tool, GeomCaliper©.
Traditionally, designers used to section every few millimeters of the newly created model along the standard X, Y and Z axis to determine wall thickness. Each section was then manually measured using the standard measurement tools in Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems, making this process manual, time consuming and error prone. The use of GeomCaliper brings accuracy and speed into the designing process. It can compute the thickness of the entire model automatically and its innovative visualization feature can uncover critical thickness areas in complex models that are hidden deep inside the design. It not only locates the problem in the design related to wall thickness, but also shows the cause.
This accolade was given to GeomCaliper since the use of this product demonstrated saving of upto 75% in production and design time. |
